Centacare often needs volunteers with a particular background or expertise to help with technical and professional support for its programs and services. An example of this is our Education Support programs from newly arrived refugees and their families. These programs often need primary and secondary teachers, VCE and university students willing to tutor school aged children and adolescents. New arrivals often need to acquire new skills to find employment. Volunteers that specialise in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults, computer and driver’s training are much needed. There are many other volunteer opportunities for individuals interested in sharing their knowledge and expertise.
