Dare to care for everyone - Family Week is a joint initiative of Centacare Catholic Family Services and The Catholic Education Office (CEO) Melbourne.
Dear Principal, In this the 25th year of Family Week in Catholic Schools, Centacare is also celebrating 75 years of continuous service to the community. The theme of Family Week this year is ‘Dare 2 Care 4 Everyone - including all children and families in your school community. This year’s theme highlights schools’ roles in creating an inclusive village environment where all children and their families feel supported. We hope that schools will explore the theme of social inclusion with their students, encouraging them to value and appreciate different cultures, lifestyles and family situations.
Family Week has three continuing aims:
The funds raised by Catholic school communities during Family Week are vital in assisting Centacare to continue to help families to live ‘life to the full’. For the past 75 years, Centacare has supported families in all their diversity – from all cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. You can help students develop an understanding of our broad range of services by screening our new DVD during Family Week. This will be sent to you prior to the commencement of Family Week. If you require any further information about Family Week 2010 or Centacare’s programs and services, please contact John McCarthy on 9287 5507. Yours Sincerely Fr Joe Caddy Family Week Materials |
