Family Week is a joint initiative of Centacare Catholic Family Services and The Catholic Education Office (CEO) Melbourne. In 2009, our theme is “Celebrating Families in all their Diversity”. Families come in all shapes and sizes and each has a unique identity. This identity is shaped over time within the context of tradition, culture, family stories, dreams, hopes, challenges and life events. As a community, we should encourage that diversity – and acknowledge how that diversity enriches all our lives.
Sustaining Families in Challenging Times
The Australian Institute of Family Studies’ (AIFS) 11th Conference is being held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, 7 to 9 July 2010. The conference will explore the latest research, policy and practice as well as considering emerging social trends and their impact on Australian families.
