School Counselling Professional Development Print E-mail

Centacare’s School Counselling Unit offers professional development that has been created especially to support primary and secondary schools across the Catholic, independent and government schools. As an organisation, we have experience in dealing with the issues that affect families in our complex society, and can provide schools with the information, support and referral that can offer solutions to most of the complex problems faced by students, so they can concentrate on learning and educators can concentrate on teaching.

After an initial consultation to determine your school’s needs, professional development sessions can be tailored to cover those areas that are of particular concern to your school community, and can be developed to benefit all personnel, including principals, teachers, administration and support staff. In addition, we can offer sessions to students and parents that provide information about dealing with issues that affect students and reflect changes in school policies with regard to these issues.
