Centacare needs to continually work toward finding new means of attracting financial support for its work in the community. We use these funds to enable the development of new programs and services for which no other funding source is currently available. More and more we are seeing families and in particular children, who are suffering serious forms of abuse and neglect, often as a result of a person’s addiction and/or mental illness. When families are supported they have a better chance of remaining together, where their children can grow up in a healthy home environment. Centacare can only reach out to all these families with increased financial support and especially support from the private philanthropic community, e.g. private individuals (through donations and bequests) and trusts and foundations.
Other ways to support the good work of Centacare include:
- Corporate Sponsorship - from those companies concerned with corporate social responsibility who are willing to share in our mission of service, and support our values and ethical principles
- Friends of Centacare -Â those who volunteer in support of Centacare
