Family and relationship counselling seeks to help grow and maintain healthy relationships for couples and families, and offers support to individuals wanting to better understand their relationships with others. Centacare’s Family Relationship Services Program (FRSP) operates with the assistance of the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department and the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA) to support family relationships during difficult transitions at all phases of life. Special programs are offered to families separated by divorce to reach agreement over parenting, contact and financial arrangements that are in the best interest of the children.
