Centacare’s Alcohol and Other Drug Family Service specialises in supporting the families of individuals affected by alcohol and other drugs, as well as the individuals themselves. Centacare has counsellors and social workers specially trained to help families deal with the social, emotional and financial consequences of having a family member who regularly misuses alcohol or other drugs. We offer counselling and group work for families, as well as information and community development opportunities. The aim is to support the family and the community in which they live, paying particular attention to cultural groups where substance misuse is problematic.
