Centacare’s Mary of the Cross Centre specialises in services that support the families of individuals affected by alcohol and other drugs. Centacare has counsellors and social workers specially trained to help families deal with the social, emotional and financial consequences of having a family member who regularly abuses alcohol or other drugs. We offer counselling and group work for families, as well as information and community development opportunities. The aim is to support the family and the community in which they live, paying particular attention to cultural groups where substance abuse is problematic and endemic.
